Nobody

Checked out Nobody at the local theater. Heard good reviews about this one. Guess what?  Liked it! May not see this one as a First Date Movie because of the violence and mayhem but do check it out once your budding relationship has matured, else sneak away for a movie.  This one gets a Good One Rating!

1944 (2015)

Movie with subtitles that looks at World War Two and 1944 Estonia, where Estonians fight on both sides of the war... German Army and the Soviet Army. Lots of twist and turns and surprises.  Would skip as a First Date Movie but would save it for a Rainy Day! See more at IMDB.

Age of Adaline

Been meaning to watch this one; finally did! Liked it, plus gets a First Date Movie rating. This one is a lovey dovey story that has Blake Lively playing Adaline - a woman who cannot age, and her finding that special someone. It has a few twists and turns that keep you guessing. Do check it out!

Next (2007)

More movies to see on Amazon Prime... this one has Nicholas Cage and Jessica Biel at odds with the FBI agent played by Julianne Moore! Nicholas is a Vegas Magician who can see the future in two minute increments and as long as it is about him. Except when it comes to Jennifer!

Throw in a nuclear bomb plot, Russians, and some shooting here and there and this one is entertaining. Save this one for a rainy day and check it out! See more at IMDB

Bad Samaritan

Been watching streaming movies lately. Found this one on Amazon Prime... Bad Samaritan. Interesting plot with twist and turns for the main character... a thief who finds he must help someone!

Not a first date movie, but a good one to watch on a rainy day. And, it has been raining here a lot lately!

Liking the new movie with Jason Statham as Mister "H"! Lots of action, some "rewinding" scenes to keep you watching. Was a good one to see at the movies on the big screen!

Liking this one, gets a First Date Movie rating.  Songs are in the 80s genre, and are surprisingly good! Do check this one out!

Although ratings were low, from Jerry's view this one was a good one to the point of recommending it as a "First Date" movie. Yes, there is sadness and pain but no worries, your budding relationship will not suffer if it is on a solid foundation. Check this one out when you get a chance!

Tenet

Watched this one at the Movie House! Lots of action but hard to follow with time traveling back and forth and around again. From IMDB, "Armed with only one word, Tenet, and fighting for the survival of the entire world, a Protagonist journeys through a twilight world of international espionage on a mission that will unfold in something beyond real time."

21 Bridges

Watched this one despite its release in 2019. "21 Bridges" has... "an embattled NYPD detective is thrust into a citywide manhunt for a pair of cop killers after uncovering a massive and unexpected conspiracy." Lots of action with a few twists and turns. Entertaining movie for those who like a back story to the main story!

Honest Thief

Liam Neeson movies where he plays a thief who decides to turn himself in after finding the woman of his life. But, things don't go as planned. Instead, he must fight to clear his name. Good movie! Check it out! See more at IMDB.

Love Gauranteed

Here is one we found on Net Flicks! It's easily a safe first date movie - Love Guaranteed. Damon Wayan's Jr. hires a lawyer played by Rachel Leigh Cook to sue an online dating website - Love Guaranteed. The reason - after 1000 dates if you find love, they guarantee something... not sure what. Liking the actors and liking the story line. Do check it out! See more on IMDB.

Running From Grace

Been away from theaters due to their closure, but luckily there is the Internet. Here is one that I liked... Running from Grace! Found it by accident, has Matt Dillon and others working through issues while living in Hawaii in the early 1900s.  This one gets a first date movie rating.  No spoiler here... just check it out! Greyhound

Watched this one from Apple TV as well as read the book. Greyhound starring Tom Hanks as the Commander of an Escort Squadron of destroyers tasked with protecting a Convoy of Merchant Ships crossing the Atlantic.

Lots of action and cool scenes as the Squadron fights of German U-Boats.  Good movie, did note changes compared to the book, but overall it followed the storyline.

Invisible Man 2020

Remake of an old classic but updated to the 21st Century. The Invisible Man is a jealous boyfriend who fakes his suicide to torment his runaway girlfriend.

A little slow with a twist and turn that made it entertaining.  Liked it but may need to hold off as a first date movie... since it is about a jealous boyfriend.

1917

Able to get an early view of the movie 1917... about two British soldiers in WWI who are tasked with delivering a message to cancel an order to attack. If they don't deliver, a battalion of the British Army is doomed to death.

Liked the movie... noticed a couple of actors from the Game of Thrones were in the movie! Do check it out. For more, see IMDB!

Knives Out

Happy Thanksgiving  Just got back from watching Knives Out with a host of actors and actresses that are readily recognized! That said, lots of twist and turns before the reveal is revealed.

Won't go in to much detail... for more see IMDB. For now, this one is a First Date Movie! Don't miss this one. It's over two hours but did not drag... no spoilers here. Go see it!

Ford Vs Ferrari

Matt Damon and Christian Bale make a great team in the true story of Ford's quest to beat Ferrari in the "24 Hours of Le Mans" race. Matt plays Carroll Shelby - race car driver, designer, and team lead for Shelby Racing, and Christian Bale plays Kevin Miles - race car driver, designer, and mechanic for Carroll.

Great movie,... did not know the rivalry as well as inter-rivalry in the Ford Company.  Do see this one a the movies! Earns a First Date Movie Rating!
