The Foreigner (2017) 🍺🍺

Jerry's Beer Movie Rating system gives The Foreigner (2017)

🍺🍺 Two Beers - Great movie, did not mind paying the premium at the theater. Two beers because you are paying the premium price at the theater.

IMDB summarizes the movie, "The story of humble London businessman Quan (Chan), whose long-buried past erupts in a revenge-fueled vendetta when the only person left for him to love - his teenage daughter - is taken from him in a senseless act of politically-motivated terrorism. In his relentless search for the identity of the terrorists, Quan is forced into a cat- and-mouse conflict with a Irish government official (Brosnan), whose own past may hold clues to the identities of the elusive killers."

Rotten Tomatoes Critics Consensus notes, "The Foreigner adheres strictly to action thriller formula, but benefits from committed -- and out of character -- performances from its talented veteran stars."

Jerry's Review notes, "Was surprised to see Jackie Chan in the movie... no crazy stunts! Lots of action with an ending that was expected. Still liked it enough that would have watched it in a theater when it came out in 2017."

Checked out IMDB  and Rotten Tomatoes. Seems the audience and IMDB were aligned in their rating of the movie. The Tomatometer Critics liked it less. Jerry still rates this one high at 2 Beers πŸΊπŸΊ!

  • IMDB Rating was 7.0 out 10 Stars
  • Rotten Tomato's Tomatometer was 66%
  • And, Rotten Tomato's Audience Score was 72%
