Knives Out

Happy Thanksgiving  Just got back from watching Knives Out with a host of actors and actresses that are readily recognized! That said, lots of twist and turns before the reveal is revealed.

Won't go in to much detail... for more see IMDB. For now, this one is a First Date Movie! Don't miss this one. It's over two hours but did not drag... no spoilers here. Go see it!

Ford Vs Ferrari

Matt Damon and Christian Bale make a great team in the true story of Ford's quest to beat Ferrari in the "24 Hours of Le Mans" race. Matt plays Carroll Shelby - race car driver, designer, and team lead for Shelby Racing, and Christian Bale plays Kevin Miles - race car driver, designer, and mechanic for Carroll.

Great movie,... did not know the rivalry as well as inter-rivalry in the Ford Company.  Do see this one a the movies! Earns a First Date Movie Rating!

Stuber

Dave Bautista and Kumail Nanijani team up in an action comedy where Dave plays a policeman and Kumail is an Uber Driver. Through a turn of events, Dave hires an Uber because he cannot drive to track down a killer.

Funny moments and lots of action. Okay to wait for a rainy day to rent; entertaining but would chose other movies on a sunny day!

Midway 2019

Another version of the battle of Midway. This one focuses more on the Bomber Squadron and the Intel Team that played a key role in winning the battle.

Good movie, do check it out!

Zombieland 2

Sequel to Zombieland with all the same players. Older and more a family unit that has its issues.

Funny movie with great Zombie action. If you liked the first one, you will like this one!

Joker 2019

Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker shows the origin of the Comic Villain in a more violent manner than last movies. Some may like it and others  may not... Had to see it to form an opinion.

Hold as a first date movie but do see it to make your own decision!

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

Quentin Tarantino directs a movie about late 60s's Hollywood. Leonardo Dicaprio is an aging star, Brad Pitt is his stunt double and close friend. Together, they come to terms with issues have a "has been" lead actor.

Tarantino spins things with Sharon Tate and Roman Polanski where in this version a happier ending results from a run in with the Manson Family Cult.

Was pleasantly surprised to be entertained by this movie; glad to have seen it at the Movie Theater! See more at IMDB.

Good Boys 2019

Early preview of this one. Lots of funny parts but not a first date movie. Lots of cursing by tweens. If you are okay with it and Seth Rogen movies, check  it out!

Been meaning to watch this one. Watched it finally... Liked it! Going to look for more movies with Sally Hawkins. Did a great job in a role that required no speaking!

Yesterday... Good One!

Got to see an early showing of this movie. Yesterday is about an aspiring musician who is not having much success until he is hit by a bus!

When he wakes in the hospital, he soon learns after that no one knows about the Beatles and their songs!

Good one, a definite first date movie!

Ps... Burger and Fries plus an Ice-eee make it all good!

John Wick 3 - Parabellum

Always a John Wick fan, this one in the franchise did not disappoint! Anticipating a sequel too! Plus got some tasty eats while at the Movies... Pizza, Pop Corn, and a Chicago Dog and a tasty Swirl Margarita!

Aquaman

Another movie about comic book heroes and a teaser at the end to confirm a sequel is forthcoming. That said, liked it! Has the Game of Thrones "big guy" playing Aquaman. And, Nicole Kidman plays a part to as an Atlantis Queen. Check it out and rent it some time!

The Mule

Clint Eastwood stars and directs this round! Based on a true story about an elderly man who becomes a drug runner - "mule" for a Mexican Drug Cartel... well told story. Do check it out! PS... great song at the end to close the movie.

How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World #firstdatemovie

Number three in the How To Train Your Dragon franchise; this one gets a First Date Movie rating! Liking #1 and #2, #3 did not disappoint! Even have a little romance to add to the mix! Do check it out!

Glass

Marvel comics sequel to Split and Unbreakable... has James McAvoy and his multiple personalities aka "the Horde", Samuel Jackson with his genius but scheming ways and the same broken bones, and Bruce Willis and his super hero strength.

All come together in Glass... good movie and twist and turns made for entertainment. Lotta time spent in the asylum... won't say more but bummer on the ending. See more on IMDB.
