Web log that provides periodic reviews of movies using a new rating system in 2024. Formerly, movies were rated as a "first-date" movie and/or "first-rate movie rental". In 2022 and 2023, we rated movies on a Beer basis. See details in the sidebar below. Beginning 2024, we now use a simpler rating system - Thumbs Up/Down!

Kingsman: The Golden Circle
Sequel to the Kingsman brings back old and new characters from before. Of note, is the return of Colin Firth! Since the movie is just out, will keep the review brief... if you liked the first one, then you will this one! Glad to have seen it on opening weekend! For more see IMDB.

American Assassin
Checked out the movie based on the Vince Flynn books featuring Mitch Rapp - an American bent on killing terrorists as a result of his girlfriend being killed by them.
Read part of the book... still reading it; did see some differences in the book and movie but still liked the movie.
Ending hints at future movies to come! See more on IMDB.

Wonder Woman
Movie that brings Wonder Woman onto the big screen. Gal Gadot plays Diana - a goddess and the Wonder Woman, who fights Ares the God of War. Set in World War I, Diana comes to her calling after an American Spy crash lands into the sea.
Good movie with some interesting twists and turns. Do plan to see more of Wonder Woman in the DC Comics Movie Franchise. For more, see IMDB.

King Arthur: Legend of the Sword
Another King Arthur movie... has Charlie Hunman as King Arthur and Jude Law as Vortigren - the bad Uncle. Good movie with a different spin on the story. Glad to have waited for the DVD instead of watching at the Movie Theater. But, was pleasantly surprised on this version of the King Arthur legend. See more on IMDB.
Baywatch 2017
Movie version of the popular TV series Baywatch. Has Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as the lead role Mitch and Zac Efron supporting as a failed two-time Gold Olympic Gold Medalist who is hired to be a lifeguard.
Not so great story line with cameos from the TV series characters. Better to have watched something else. See more on IMDB.
